UBA ATM machine wrongly debited my account

One of the bad experiences I've had with ATMs is one recent one located at a UBA branch. After having tried several ATMs and was not able to withdraw any money, I decided to use the one at UBA.I thought I would be able to withdraw money from the UBA machine but alas, I got the error "Financial institution not available". Well I didn't want to bother myself so much so I just finally had to try the last one at a Zenith bank close by. One of the good things I love about ATMs and bank branches is that there are several branches close by so if one doesn't work, another will probably will and so the one at Zenith bank easily gave me the money I wanted to withdraw.Surprisingly, to UBA ATM later still debited my savings account despite the fact that it did not give me any money after telling me that my financial institution was not available.I have had funny experiences with several ATMs in Nigeria and would not blame some of my friends who already say they longer use ATMs due to their ineffective services which only suck your account dry. Several bad experiences with ATMs
==================================
Some of the bad experiences I've had with ATMs in Nigeria include the following:- Double debit for a single withdrawal
- ATM seizure of my card
- Wrongful debit without any withdrawalIt seems ATM service in Nigeria is not yet as efficient as expected but it really helps people save a lot of time at the long queues especially typical of Nigerian banks with poor customer service and slow service delivery.I had since reported the matter to my bank for the wrong debit and yet, it has been 4 weeks but still no rectification. I'm still wondering who is going to reverse the debit, my bank or UBA. What I've done so far
==================
- Made a phone call to customer service requesting for a reversal
- Filled a cash retract form physically at my branchThey said it may take 10 more days before it reflects correctly in my account and I guess I'll have to wait for that. ATM services in Nigeria are really not encouraging but it's better than queuing at the bank.

Update: I was able to get back the money(N20,000) credited back to my account after about 10 days from when I filled the complaint form and this is about 1 month after the wrong ATM debit. So relieved

A lot of people have lost money to ATMs that they actually avoid having to use it. I know ATM machines are not that old in Nigeria yet but they are already acting old.
