My Zenith Buxz non-personalized prepaid card

When it comes to online payment on US websites, I've used various brands of debit cards denominated in US dollars. One of the recent cards that I've been using lately is Zenith bank's non-personalized prepaid card

The bank offers it in 3 denominations - USD, Euro and Pounds but the one I got is the USD one.

This card is a non-personalized prepaid visa card which allows the holder to make online payments anywhere Visa card is acceptable. This means that with the card, you can make withdrawals from ATMs and payments on the web and at POS around the world as long as Visa is supported.

It comes with a 16 digit card number that begins with a 4 and expires in about 3 years. It also comes with a 3 digit CVV code at the back, a client number and buxd id.

To get the Zenith bank prepaid Visa card, you just need to walk to a close branch and apply for it bringing along with you a proof of address, personal form of identification and at least $120. You would then have to sign an agreement form and the non personalized Visa card would be issued to you, same day. You would also be given instructions on how to activate and start using the card.

I personally make use of it to pay for online services like domain names and web hosting and it has been quite efficient.

One thing that distinguishes the Zenith bank prepaid USD Visa card from the other cards I've used in the past is the sms alerts. I'm normally sent an sms for all debits charged to my card.

I don't have a personal bank account with Zenith bank yet but only a card account through which I fund the visa card.

Transaction fee: about 2%
Card reload fee: $5

Reloading one's Zenith bank Visa card account is easy as all you need to do is use your card account number and your card number and pay the required currency into the account for a reload. After making the deposit, your card would be funded within 24 to 48 hrs.

You can also check for your transactions online by logging into you visa online statement portal at zenithbank.com. You would need you visa telebanking pin

Hi,

I like to hear from you for using the BUXZ USD visa card online. I also obtain one from bank and i was told i don't need further activation for the card, that it will begin to work after 24hours of collecting it,therefore i ensure it was at the specified time i check my balance on ATM it was successful but to pay for item online where visa was accepted it doesn't pay , i don't know what the problem was i contact the bank but am not yet satisfy with their response because the story still remain the same. can you please help me with how you activate your own card. I expect to hear from you.

Well it should work after 24 hrs. Have you tried again after that day? What error is the website giving you and which website is it really. You should also use the same details you used when getting the card. Your Nigerian billing address, CVV code, expiry date, card number and card name are all important.

I also obtain my own visa BUXD USD card on monday which is 23rd of september and they told me that it will begin to work after 24hours of collecting it,therefore i ensure it was at the specified time i check my balance on ATM it was not successful and to pay for item online where visa was accepted it doesn't pay , i don't know what is the problem. There is a contact number at the back of your card. Call them and tell them your problem. You can also tell them to check your balance just to know if you have sufficient balance

this card will steal your money , and zenith bank will be happy to do that , they will keep demanding for hard labor work when you have a returned purchase and you need your money back in addition ,the online viewing is bad, the statement doesn't show you the credits but only the debits.
when you pay in the money only reflects 12 hours later . and the call center answers you proudly with all sort of non sense replies.
take my advise , this card is not welcomed any where , especially in the USA.
