When it makes to making online payments particularly in foreign currencies such as US dollars, Euro or Pounds, you no longer have to buy prepaid Virtual Credit cards as the case was in the past as many Nigerian banks now offer physical Visa and Mastercards denominated in US dollars and these cards can be used globally and even online for shopping at sites like Amazon.

One of such cards is offered by Zenith bank and I do have their prepaid USD buxd card and mine is funded with US dolalrs.

The prepaid Visa Buxd USD I have is a non personalized one and that's the kind you can immediately pick up at your bank on the same day you submit your application together with your funds(at least $150)

Ways to check Zenith Bank Prepaid Visa card balance

When it comes to checking your remaining balance in your prepaid Visa card, you can do this in a variety of ways such as:

- Using Visa telebanking on the internet
- Calling customer service (with the number printed on your card)
- Using the ATM

How to check your balance on the ATM
====================
- Insert your Zenith bank Visa prepaid card in a Zenith bank Visa supported ATM
- Enter the Buxz id PIN that came with your card
- Select your account eg. Savings
- Select Inquiry

Your balance would be displayed in Naira irrespective of the currency your card is denominated in and at the bank's forex rates.

So this is a different way to check your Buxz card balance without having to call customer service or using the tele-banking option.

ATMs in Nigeria don't dispense foreign currency except in Naira as far as I know. You can however use a foreign ATM card on local ATMs in Nigeria and your US dollars will be converted to Naira
