For many Nigerians who have a bank account and a mobile phone, banking services have been made easier all from simply dialing a set of short numbers from their mobile phones.Here is a list of USSD codes being used in Nigeria to make life easier for customers:1. Access bank *901#2. Ecobank *326#3. FCMB *329#4. Fidelity bank *770#5. First Bank of Nigeria *894#6. GTBank *737#7. Polaris bank *833#8. Stanbic IBTC bank *909#9. Sterling bank *822#10. Zenith bank *966#For first time users, there may be a need to do a registration using their phone by dialing the USSD code first and in some other cases, they are ready to work on the go as long as the phone number has been registered with the bank account and probably already receives alerts from their banks.There area lot of things people now do with the USSD service such as checking account balances, account statements, transferring money, paying bills, cashing out from ATMs cardlessly, blocking cards or transfers and so on.So, when next you want to go to your bank for something, find out first if you can do it with the USSD service so as to save yourself time and money.
