FCMB is getting more innovative by the day. Last time I checked, they now allow people to open an e-savings account, upload your passport and deposit money on the internet and all these without having to visit the bank.FCMB now has a web address located at https://onlineaccount.fcmb.com/ from where potential customers can easily open an account.TO open an account, all a customer needs are an internet connection, a passport photograph and then provide his personal details.This is basically an e-savings account or a type of savings account one can open and operate mostly on the internet. You can also get an ATM card linked to it and also make deposits at any of the bank's branch if you want.You don't need to pay any money forward as deposit before the account is opened and an account number is given to you but there are some conditions that you have to follow when using it.Conditions with FCMB's e-savings account

As at the date of this post, here are the basic conditions one has to abide by when using this account:You may only maintain a maximum deposit of N200,000. To open the online account with FCMB is easy as all you have to do is go to https://onlineaccount.fcmb.com and fill the form with your details. You will need to at least have an email so that you can receive feedback from them. You will also need to upload a good passport photograph to the site and submit it when asked.After you've provided all the necessary information and submitted the form, you will wait for FCMB staff to check your details and when they are through, they'll send you an email.You will receive an email within 24 to 72 hrs after you've applied for the account telling you that it was either successful or that you still need to do some things like upload a better picture.After a few days, you will also receive an email from the bank which will give you your internet banking details such as your password. With the password, you will be able to log into your online FCMB account(https://ibank.firstcitygrouponline.com/Individual-Banking.aspx) and then be required to change it to another password. You will also provide answers to some security questions.Using internet banking
==========
Since you are now logged into your online e-savings account, you will be able to do a lot of things such as check your statement or transactions and make requests. You will be able to know more about your account such as your account number and balance. You would also need to first make a deposit to the bank account before doing things like requesting an ATM card, paying bills, online bank transfers and so on. You can add funds to your account either by visiting the bank to pay cash or doing an online transfer from another bank.
