Mobile money, as I've already written about allows you to buy airtime topup for your phone or other people's phone using your mobile money account. One of the cool providers of such mobile money service is Stanbic IBTC bank and I've been using them for a while now.

You can buy airtime for all the GSM networks such as MTN, Airtel, Globacom and Etisalat. With a mobile money account, you don't need to buy recharge cards from vendors or from any other place.

What I like about their service is that it is quite easy and you can simply register for an account without having to visit their bank by just using your mobile phone.

Once you are already registered with your phone and have made a deposit or transfer of money into your mobile money account, you can start using the service and simply reload your bank account when the balance is low.

How to buy airtime using the USSD option
=========================
- Dial *909# from your phone
- Send 1 to proceed to your wallet
- Send 5 to go to Airtime Top up menu
- Send 1 or 2 to credit your number or another number
- Reply with a number to choose a corresponding network
- Reply with a number to choose the corresponding airtime value
- Enter and send your 4 DIGIT Stanbic IBTC mobile money PIN
- Confirm transaction by sending 1
- If the transaction is successful, you will receive a notification.

Also, the beneficiary phone number will immediately be credited with the airtime value you have purchased.
